Eagles Top Bucknell for First Win Since 2013

American University soccer secured a milestone victory over Bucknell on Saturday, earning its first win over the Bison since 2013. The Eagles had tied Bucknell in 2019 but had fallen in each of the other 10 meetings since then. Senior Klingensmith capped her career with a team-high four goals this season and tied graduate student Jennifer McGuire for the team lead in points at 10. Junior Bella Miller scored the game’s opening goal, her first of the season, less than a minute after coming off the bench in the 27th minute. Assists on the goal came from freshman Mary DelVecchio, marking the first point of her career, and McGuire, who tied for the team lead with four assists this season.
